Illuminating Hadrians Wall Across Northumberland
One of the most exciting events in Northumberland during 2010 has to be the Illumination of Hadrian's Wall which took place in March.
Living just a few miles from Hadrian's Wall, Vicky Reed, the owner of Northumbria Byways agency for holiday cottages in Northumberland, was one of the first to volunteer as a torch bearer.
She was delighted when she heard the news that she had been selected from the thousands who volunteered. It proved to be what she later described in her Northumberland Blog as a 'brilliant' experience.
