Holiday Cottage Description

This spacious and well appointed cottage has spectacular south-westerly views of the nearby Cheviots. It is located in the small hamlet of Mindrum Mill 3 miles south of Coldstream. The vibrant historic city of Edinburgh is one hours drive. The Edinburgh Fringe Festival takes place in August and is one of the top tourist attractions in Britain. Being the largest arts festival in the world there is something for everyone with music, theatre, comedy and dance. The pretty villages of Ford and Etal with their thatched cottages, delightful pub and visitor's centre are 4 miles west, whilst Heatherslaw has a working watermill and a light railway which runs alongside the River Till at Etal. Kelso (7 miles) has a good range of shopping and leisure facilities. Castles, abbeys and stately homes abound in an area steeped in cross border conflict. The Cheviot Hills offer superb walking whilst the truly magnificent beaches around Bamburgh and Holy Island are within an easy 30 minute drive.
