Holiday Cottage Description

Only metres away from a quiet stretch of golden sands Chantilly is a romantic getaway in an enviable position. Stroll along an often deserted beach on a summers evening with a stunning backdrop of Coquet Island, which lies a mile off shore from Amble to the north. In addition to being an RSPB reserve with thousands of Puffins, Terns and one of Britain’s rarest seabirds the Roseate Tern there is also an 80’ lighthouse built on the ruins of a mediaeval tower. During the summer months, boats regularly sail out of Amble taking tourists to observe the birds. This area is steeped in history so you are never far from a dramatic castle with Alnwick, Warkworth, Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh all within easy reach. Amble is an important fishing port with various shops, pubs and restaurants. The award winning marina is packed with fishing boats, pleasure crafts and yachts. Fishing, sailing, walking, cycling and golf all nearby.
