Holiday Cottage Description
BOOKINGS CAN BE TAKEN STARTING ON ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.This recently renovated stone cottage provides exceptional accommodation in which to relax and enjoy the solitude and exhilarating sense of freedom found in the College Valley. It is a sanctuary for wildlife and vegetation, and has the largest semi natural woodlands (Harrowbog) in the Northumberland National Park. Walkers who seek unspoilt and natural landscape with spectacular scenery need look no further. College Valley is a private estate running north from Cheviot. There are four letting houses, a YHA youth hostel and a well equipped Community Hall which is licensed for weddings and other functions. It is possible to book the whole Valley for events. There are four challenging circular Hillfort Trails in the College Valley – Hethas Hike, Ring Chesters Round, Four Forts Foray and the River and Ramparts Ramble. The market town of Wooler, known as the gateway to the Cheviot Hills is 9 miles and offers a wide range of shops. Stalking by arrangement. Horse riding – livery available and bike hire nearby. Close to Hethpool Lake.
