Holiday Cottage Description

Hilltop Barn provides a welcoming rural retreat 6 miles from the picturesque village of Corbridge. Surrounded by its own cottage garden this stone built barn conversion, adjoining the owner’s house, provides a cozy location in which to relax. Set in wooded countryside where beautiful walks can start from the door. Close by are the remains of the Roman town of Corstopitum and within 15 miles along Hadrian’s Wall are the forts of Chester’s, Housesteads and Vindolanda. Hexham, 7 miles, famous for its mediaeval 12th Century Abbey, offers excellent amenities with a wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants and a theatre. On the outskirts of Hexham is the highest National Hunt racecourse in England. Beamish Open Air Museum, 12 miles away, is a living, working experience of life during the 1800’s and early1900’s. Slaley Hall Hotel with 2 championship golf courses, is 2 miles away. Walking, sailing, fishing and horse riding available nearby.
