This fabulous house, part of a converted hotel in a stunning clifftop position, has breathtaking views out to sea. With direct access from its gardens to the award-winning, safe, sandy beach of Coldingham Bay, flanked by rock pools, it offers a wonderful base for traditional seaside holidaymakers and nature-lovers alike. A few minutes’ walk along the cliff path is the picturesque fishing village of St. Abbs; close by, the towering cliffs of St. Abbs Head (National Trust for Scotland) are renowned for their important seabird colonies and the rich marine life in the clear waters below. The fishing port of Eyemouth is 4 miles south, and beyond is the historic walled town of Berwick on Tweed. The rugged coastline offers outstanding walks, many of which start from the doorstep; inland, the wild beauties of the Cheviot and Lammermuir Hills are easily reached. Edinburgh, North Berwick, and the castles/beaches of Northumberland are all within an hour’s drive. Fishing, surfing, diving, boat trips, golf all nearby.
