Holiday Cottage Description

This exceptionally spacious stone cottage has recently undergone a complete makeover. The spectacular views across to the heather clad hills and exposed granite outcrops of the nearby Cheviot Hills are a constantly changing palate of colours throughout the seasons. Countless footpaths and bridleways radiate in all directions to please walkers, mountain bikers of all abilities. To the east is the beautiful Northumberland coast which can easily be reached by car in 30 minutes. The northern Berwickshire coastline is noted for dramatic cliffs and sheltered coves whilst south around Bamburgh the shoreline boasts vast expanses of clean golden sand. Being on the northern perimeter of the National Park close to the Scottish Borders the historic towns of Kelso, Jedburgh and Melrose are nearby and provide a good range of amenities and shops selling local produce. Floors Castle in Kelso has a magical fairytale look with its roofline of turrets and pinnacles. Dating back to 1721 it is the largest inhabited mansion in Scotland, home to the Duke of Roxburghe.
