Holiday Cottage Description

This luxurious lodge is set within the grounds of an award winning listed Farm Steading in the hamlet of Kirknewton 5 miles from the town of Wooler. Having been recently converted from a former lambing barn, with exceptional attention to detail, the accommodation combines a peaceful relaxing atmosphere with top of the range functional modern amenities. The sheltered rear patio is perfect for a leisurely breakfast with views to the south west of Gregory Hill. On the doorstep are some of the remotest and dramatic landscapes of the Northumberland National Park with wild goats roaming the nearby College Valley and buzzards soaring high above the slopes of the Cheviot Hills. Outdoor activities such as hill walking or mountain biking offer the perfect escape from hectic modern day hustle and bustle then return for a hot shower followed by an evening spent unwinding in the lavish ambience of The Lodge. The location is perfect for exploring the profusion of stately homes, historical sites and castles as well as a half hour drive to the fantastic Heritage Coast at Bamburgh.

Accommodation all on one level Extremely spacious open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with good quality sofa bed but maximum 4 adults staying. Double bedroom with stylish sleigh bed and vanity sink unit. Second double bedroom. Both bedrooms have views of the pond. Fully tiled shower room with heated towel rail and WC. Wooden floors and original beams throughout cottage.

Services Electricity and full LPG gas CH included. Colour TV with Freeview. DVD. Video. Radio. Electric oven and hob. Dishwasher. Fridge with icebox. Enclosed sunny patio to rear with furniture. Off road parking. Shop/PO/pub 4 miles. Duvets with linen and towels. Regrettably no children under the age of 12. Sorry no pets or smoking in cottage please. FRIDAY TO FRIDAY. Minimum £450 per week.
