The Thatched Cottage, the only one of its kind in Berwickshire, was originally built around the 17th century. Having been awarded Listed Building status, it is unquestionably a picture perfect “chocolate box” cottage. Set in a large landscaped lawned garden, bordered by a running stream the cottage has recently been painstakingly transformed from a ruin to a truly romantic holiday retreat in the beautiful Scottish Borders. The contemporary styled interior of this cottage is oozing with charm and character providing a wonderful place to relax and explore some of surrounding countryside’s many historical sites, including Floors Castle at Kelso and the Mary Queen of Scots Visitors Centre and Abbey at Jedburgh. The Heritage Coastline is a short drive with some of the Britain’s most stunning beaches, great walking opportunities with amazing picturesque scenery. Duns is just 3 miles with a good range of shops and amenities to make your stay more pleasurable.
