Easby Farm Cottage stands in a peaceful former farm courtyard, in the secluded hamlet of Easby only 2 miles from the market town of Brampton. The cottage has been impressively modernised to create a deceptively spacious and charming holiday home with original beamed ceiling. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and the cottage enjoys clear views over open countryside, making an ideal base for visitors wishing to explore the Roman forts of Birdoswald, Housesteads and Vindolanda dotted along Hadrian’s Wall. 2 miles from Brampton is Talkin Tarn Country Park where sailing, windsurfing and fishing can be enjoyed. For the less energetic, perhaps a leisurely stroll around the tarn and a picnic. 10 miles east is the Great Border City of Carlisle with its mediaeval castle, cathedral, award winning Tullie House Museum, excellent shopping and leisure facilities. It is also ideally situated for touring The Lake District, North Pennines , Eden Valley, Northumberland, Solway Firth and the Scottish Borders. Walking, mountain biking, cycle hire, fishing, horse riding, sailing and golf are all nearby.
