Micklewood Park is situated in 75 acres of woodland surrounding Longhirst Hall Hotel, three miles north of Morpeth and less than 20 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne. Micklewood offers the ideal setting for a family holiday and an excellent base for exploring the many attractions throughout this stunning region. There are 7 4 star well equipped self catering houses which are affordable, modern and secure. Each home provides up to 5 bedrooms, accommodating between 4 and 10 people. Micklewood park benefits from superb amenities perfect for families, friends and specialist groups. On site facilities include 2 golf courses, tennis courts, cricket pitches, football and hockey plus a range of woodland walks throughout the extensive grounds. Guests benefit from the hotel’s facilities including the new Collingwood Bar , a relaxed and informal bar with lounge areas, serving the best in traditional pub food and the Decoro Luxury Spa, newly opened in June 2010. The spa offers a fantastic range of treatment using Natural Empathy products, along with Jacuzzi, monsoon shower, aromatherapy room and sauna. Further afield, guests can explore Northumberland’s coastline, countryside and castles including Alnwick Gardens and Hadrian’s Wall.
