Written by Northumbria Byways on

If you’re sick of cooking in a cramped kitchen and having to shoehorn your extended family into your dining room every time it’s your turn to host Christmas, a cottage holiday is just what you need!

Our holiday cottages are the perfect choice for truly memorable festive break – from hot-tubs to wood burning stoves, we’ve got something to suit everyone. Northumbria has everything you need for the quintessential family Christmas too – you’ll find beautiful scenery and wildlife, frosty winter walking trails, bustling markets to shop for gifts and plenty of nearby festive events and attractions to visit.

Also, it’s worth noting that rented holiday accommodation becomes more economical when it’s split between a large group, so it’s a great opportunity to club together and splurge on a luxurious, spacious cottage that would otherwise be out of your budget! The following cottages are perfect for large families or groups looking to relax and unwind together this festive season.
