How to Make A Booking
Having looked through our website, selected your favourite cottage from our selection, use the calendar on the right hand side of the property page to enter your preferred holiday dates to see if the property is available. Select your number of nights (we take bookings from 2-28 nights online), enter your number of guests and any pets (we have 100+ cottages which accept pets!) The website will give you a cost for the booking, then all you need to do is click "Book my holiday now" and you will go through to a form to fill out all your details and make payment. Depending upon when your holiday dates are, we take a deposit of one third plus the booking fee to secure the booking. If your holiday is due to start within 8 weeks, we will require the full balance payment.
Once we've processed your booking you will receive confirmation via email or letter, letting you know everything has been confirmed for you.
If you prefer to make your booking by telephone you can contact our office on 01665 605541. We will be more than happy to discuss your requirements and assist you wherever possible.
Provisional bookings can be held up to 7 days. There is a non-refundable booking fee of £35 including VAT per booking.
Finding Your Way To The Property
All details and road directions are forwarded to you as soon as we receive the full payment for your holiday.
Arrivals And Departures
Most properties are let from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated in the property details. The normal arrival time is 4.00 pm and properties should be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of your departure. This is to allow for cleaning and preparation prior to the arrival of the next occupants.
Electricity, Gas and Fuel For Open Fires
In some properties this is charged separately to the rent and may involve, in the case of electricity and gas a meter reading at the end of your stay or the use of a prepayment electric or gas card. This will be within the property services if applicable.
Details with regard to linen are given under each listing in this site. Where it says No linen, you must bring your own sheets, pillowcases, towels, tea towels. If linen hire is mentioned, the charge is £5 per person per week unless otherwise stated. Please note that you must bring your own bedding and linen for cots in all cases.
Pets are welcome in many properties and this is shown in the individual listings. In all cases you must inform us of any pets you wish to bring. No nuisance is to be caused to neighbours and on departure there should be no evidence of the pet in either the property or the gardens. For most properties there is a charge of £15 per pet, per week. Some cottages may charge more, in which case charges are shown on the individual cottage descriptions.
All properties are thoroughly cleaned and prepared prior to your arrival. Please ensure that on your departure you leave the cottage in acceptable condition. If excessive cleaning is required a charge may be levied.
Most properties have a garden for the use of the holidaymaker. If a garden is not mentioned in the site listing there is no garden available.
Hot Tubs, Swimming Pools & Leisure Facilities
Hot tubs, swimming pools and leisure facilities may be shared use or private use. These may be subject to certain conditions for use and additional charges may apply.
Some of our cottages are located on working farms, ranging from small holdings to large commercial farms. Some owners allow interaction on the farm whilst others request little or no contact with the farm. If you require further information please ask a member of staff for clarification.
Payment By Credit Card
We are able to accept payments by Visa or Mastercard at no additional cost. We do not accept American Express.
Inspection and Ratings
All of our cottages are carefully inspected prior to inclusion on our website. Many cottages carry a "Visit England Quality in Tourism Quality Assurance Scheme" Rating - categorized as follows: 1 - 5 Stars, Gold Award. This reflects the quality of furnishings, fittings, decor and the level of hospitality. The range of facilities available is indicated by the scheme as the number of stars from 1 to 5.
