Description

Bridge End is a spacious double fronted, stone built cottage situated in the peaceful village of Warenford, 4 miles from Bamburgh. It provides a most comfortable holiday home for larger groups and a very central base from which to explore not only the striking coastline dotted with magnificent castles, rocky coves and undulating sand dunes but also the rest of this wonderful area. Holy Island is 10 miles north and can be reached across the causeway at low tide. The busy fishing port of Seahouses is 6 miles and from here boat trips are available to the Farne Islands, to observe a wide variety of migratory seabirds and a grey seal colony. The Cheviot Hills to the west are easily reached and offer splendid, secluded and unspoilt countryside. Nearby Twizell woods provide sheltered walks. Excellent golf, horse riding and fishing available locally.

Ground floor - Pleasant living/dining room with exposed stone wall, inglenook fireplace and multi-fuel stove. Attractive sitting room with original fireplace, TV with satellite channels, DVD, video, CD radio and iPod docking station. 

Well equipped kitchen with induction hob and electric fan oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and door out to rear. 

Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.  WC.

First floor - Bedroom 1 - Double bed, en-suite shower and WC. 

Bedroom 2 - Twin beds.

Bedroom 3 - Double bed.

Bedroom 4 - Full size bunk beds.

Electricity and full gas central heating included May to September (Oct to end April £30 per week).  Fuel provided for stove.  Wi-Fi throughout.  Shaver point.  Travel cot and highchair.  Telephone – incoming calls only.  Sunny lawned garden with furniture and charcoal barbecue.  Storage for bikes.  Off road parking.  Excellent pub/restaurant in village.  Shops/PO 3 miles.  Duvets with linen – No towels.  No pets.

Cracking family property in rural Northumberland

This is a large traditional cottage which sleeps six comfortably, one room is a bunk bed. The rooms are spacious, there is a large garden at the rear for kids to stretch their legs. It's a functional well equipped cottage with lovely age about it, some of the floors do squeak but that's character. The hob is a convection device, I found it very good especially with a cracking Ikea none stick frying pan, low heat and no oil did eggs wonderfully. The back door is gorgeous! There is a good pub 50 yards away but not a lot else, if you are coming to this area you really do need a car, there is lots to see but it's spread around. We loved the area, we were lucky with the weather so we got two days at the beach. We had the heating on for water but the radiators off, we like a cooler house and the windows opening, the birds singing in the back yard was lovely.
