The traditional, quiet seaside village of Cresswell, at the south of Druridge Bay has one of the most impressive stretches of beach on the heritage coastline, with a 7 mile long stretch of golden sands. Druridge Bay is a paradise for watersports enthusiasts and a haven for birdwatchers with hides built especially for observing wildfowl in the Wildlife Trust Reserve, dotted along the coastline. History of the area is brought back to life at the nearby Woodhorn Museum and Country Park. Bird watching, fishing, watersports, cycling, golf, walking and sailing are all available locally, and trips to Alnwick, Morpeth, Newcastle and Edinburgh are all within easy reach.

This is one of the best-equipped kitchens we have come across, such a great selection of cutlery/pans/plates/cooking dishes - rarely found in holiday properties! Loved eating/drinking/sitting in the sun room at dusk, watching the sea as the sun went down. Mrs S Arnott - 18th October 2019
We had a fantastic time at this cottage and would recommend it to anyone for whom it would be suitableMr Martin Platts - 4th October 2019
Loved Northumbria lots to do and plenty of places to eat out that were dog friendly.mrs A Corner - 14th September 2019
What a beautiful place to escape of ‘busyness’ of life. We’ve had such a happy time here and found the cottage met our every need. Thank you, the views are stunning. Lydia, Ben, Isla, Alyssa and Jardain - 9th March 2019
This cottage is beautiful, we have had a really lovely holiday. Cresswell Beach is the best we’ve seen in Northumberland. Vanilla ice cream from Cresswell Ices just next door is the best I’ve ever had and the food at the Drift Cafe (down the road) is very good too. We’ll be back! Mark, Ruth and Spike - 9th March 2019
Enjoying our holiday here in Skears Cottage in Cresswell. Sad to be leaving so soon. We will definitely miss the beach! Max and Milo enjoyed it so much too (Woof Woof !!) Happy tails wagging all the time. A cozy lovely cottage, very comfortable with everything we need. John, Tina, Connor and Max and Milo - 9th March 2019

A very special place to stay in a spectacular location! An amazing time, thanks very much.Chris and Bev (and Mabel), Manchester - 19th June 2017
We enjoyed our stay in your warm, comfortable & spacious cottage - so well equipped! Relaxing to have breakfast watching the sea. The evening light over the bay was inspiring. Lots of places of interest to visit. Thank you.Carole, Beryl, Jan and Bella - Newark - 19th June 2017
We took the train from Morpeth to Edinburgh for a look around the Christmas markets. Morpeth is a lovely town to have a stroll through. Beamish was great day out, we went on a Sunday when everything was open and had lovely day. It was so nice to come ‘home’ every night to this beautiful house. I will not forget sitting in bed every morning looking at the beautiful view from the bedroom window. Priceless! Wendy and Mark
