Cross the road and you reach the sand dunes and two spectacular miles of sandy beaches. Within a five minute easy walk, you reach Seahouses harbour and village centre with a wide choice of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and tea rooms as well as a well-stocked supermarket and selection of gift shops.

Here you are perfectly located to visit Northumberland's renowned castles - Bamburgh Castle, one of the most well-known, is just two miles away. Enjoy several local links golf courses and for the fit and active the neighbouring village of Beadnell offers an abundance of water sports.

The finish and decor is of the highest quality, comfortably sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, 2 en-suites with both baths & separate showers, along with a family shower room. There is an abundance of space inside: large lounge, kids room/2nd TV room & a snug. Along with a large kitchen diner with a sea view from the front window, patio doors to the rear leading to the enclosed garden overlooking fields & the Cheviot hills beyond.

Beach Plaice welcomes up to 2 well behaved non-shedding dogs.

Bringing your dog on holiday

Beach Plaice welcomes up to two well behaved non-shedding dogs @ £25.00 per dog per week or part thereof. When you book you will be asked to provide some information about your pet which will aide the owner in ensuring that the property is set up to welcome them.

A bit of K9 etiquette should be observed during your stay:-

  • Your pet should not be left in the property unattended (unless crated - crates can be hired - see what can be arranged on the main description tab)
  • Your pet should not be allowed in the bedrooms or on furniture
  • On booking for your pet, you are confirming that it is fully up to date on its flea treatment.

The house offered so much more than might be expected. We particularly appreciated all the toys available (for both indoors and outdoors), including an X box with a good selection of games. The location is perfect, with it only being a very short walk to the beach. The beach itself is beautiful: clean, clear water, golden sands/sand dunes and rock pools revealed at low tide-what could be better? The quality of the equipment on offer was all excellent. We appreciated the American style fridge freezer with ice dispenser and we also liked the induction hob. All round, an excellent place for a family holiday!Mr M Powell - 9th August 2019

We had a fantastic stay in this gorgeous house. It is very quietly located with plenty of play space for children and rest space for adults both inside and out. The beach is within spitting distance, and we saw pheasants, curlews, and oyster catchers walk past the kitchen window while eating our breakfast. The house itself if beautifully equipped with everything you need and more. Our children 7,5, and 3 loved it, and especially all the toys which were so kindly left for their enjoyment. Beach plaice is a very high spec holiday rental , and has just about everything you need whatever the weather . Plenty of indoor / outdoor amusement for kids . The only issue we had was two beds only suitable for toddlers ( made by Mothercare ) unfortunately unaware and it broke . Stay Northumbria dealt with the issue quickly . Everything else really good and the location just across from seafront and easy walk into seahouses . We used Sainsbury's home shopping. A bonus was welcome pack . Biscuits soon disappeared.
