Description

Tucked away along a lane in the older part of Seahouses, Little Cottage is a cosy bolthole in which to relax and enjoy a traditional seaside holiday. The cottage benefits from a pretty cottage garden with a paved area, perfect for relaxing on warm summer evenings. The focal point of the lounge is an impressive stone inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove. Just around the corner from the cottage is Swallow Fish Smokery, featured on Rick Stein's Food Heroes, handy for picking up fresh seafood, kippers or smoked salmon. The cottage is a short distance from a good selection of pubs, restaurants, shops and the bustling harbour. During the summer months boat trips leave regularly from the harbour taking holidaymakers out to the Farne Islands to see the vast selection of seabirds living on and around the islands and to maybe catch a glimpse of some of the grey seals who populate these waters. Some of the trips allow visitors time to go ashore to observe the seabirds first hand. You may see some comical looking Puffins peeping out from their burrows, but watch out for the swooping terns protecting their fledglings.

Accommodation all on one level

Open plan living/dining room with large inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove and solid wood flooring, TV with Freeview and DVD. Galley kitchen with electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave and fridge with icebox. 

Bedroom 1 - Double bed. 

Bedroom 2 - Single bed. 

Small shower room with electric shower and WC.

 

Electricity and electric central heating.  Fuel for stove provided.  Wi-Fi. Sorry no cot or highchair. Off road parking for 1 car.  Shops/PO/pubs/restaurants/TIC in village.  Duvets with linen and towels.  1 well behaved pet welcome @ £20 per week.
