Wherever you choose to stay in Northumberland, you can be assured of some great days out at the award winning Northumberland Coast. Whether it be exploring the beautiful beaches, the magical islands and historical castles, or discovering the wonders under the sea by scuba-diving and swimming alongside the seals, or simply having fun riding the waves by choosing from a number of water sporting activities available such as surfing, canoeing, kayaking, or kitesurfing, you are guaranteed a fun-filled holiday.
30 miles of the stunning Northumbrian Coastline is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Much of it is often deserted so you will always be able to find a secluded spot if you simply want to get away from it all. The majority of beaches in Northumberland are dog-friendly all year round, ensuring all the family can enjoy a refreshing stroll along the beach, rock pooling, sand castle fun and even a paddle in the sea!
For anyone looking to experience the Northumberland coast by land, popular activities include: birdwatching, golfing, horse-riding, cycling and walking along the miles and miles of coastal paths. After a day exploring, sample some of Northumberland’s culinary delights. There is a great choice of coffee shops, cafes, bistros and restaurants in the many fishing villages and coastal towns along the Northumberland Coast; from singin’hinnies to stotties, Craster kippers to pan haggerty, to a cup of Earl Grey tea in the former home of Charles Grey at the Earl Grey tea house at Howick Hall.
Many of our cottages are situated in some of the most popular fishing villages and towns such as Seahouses, Beadnell, Bamburgh, Craster, Embleton and Alnmouth with many boasting fantastic views overlooking the sea and the picturesque harbours. Daily boat trips set sail from Seahouses and Amble where you can visit the Farne Islands and Coquet Island and see plenty of seals, seabirds, the popular puffins and even dolphins!
If you looking for group accommodation, we have cottages that sleep 12.
