West Percy House is an old stone mason’s cottage that has recently been renovated and tastefully furnished to a high standard. Ideal for friends or multigenerational families, this generous accommodation offers a large ground floor bedroom and separate ground floor shower room along with three further bedrooms on the first floor and a large bathroom with walk-in rain shower, and freestanding bathtub. After a day of exploring, guests can gather to relax in the spacious lounge with its beamed ceiling and wood-burning stove, or during the warmer months head outside to catch the last of the sun in the enclosed private courtyard. Perfect for alfresco dining and a glass of something chilled.

 

Amble is a popular coastal fishing town locally known as the ‘friendliest port’, it is perfect for families who wish to explore the nearby harbour, beach, shops, and cafes on foot. Take a stroll towards the pretty beach huts and along to the harbour with views towards Coquet Island. The historic village of Warkworth is a mile away, with its magnificent castle, sandy beach, and picturesque river walks. It is only a few minutes by car or enjoy a leisurely walk from Amble via the Coastal Path, taking you past the river Coquet. Nearest convenience shop 220 yards, public house 130 yards. 

 

Accommodation: a four-bedroom detached house with an enclosed carport and private walled courtyard. 

Main entrance 

Entrance hallway fresh and bright with sensor lighting, sitting stool, and store cupboard for outdoor coats and footwear. 

Ground floor shower room fully tiled, with generous walk-in shower, WC, hand basin, heated towel rail, and vanity unit. 

Lounge with stunning beamed ceiling, tastefully furnished with both modern and vintage pieces, offering cosy sofas, and woodburning stove along with ambient lighting. Smart TV with guest Amazon Prime, Soundbar, DVD player, infrared ceiling heaters, and two USB sockets.  

Inner hallway with access to the enclosed courtyard via a bright and sunny porch. Under stair utility cupboard with washing machine, tumble dryer, and storage space. Separate WC with hand basin. 

Kitchen/dining a bright and modern country style kitchen/diner with a large west-facing picture window. Integrated fridge, freezer, and dishwasher, induction hob, electric oven, and microwave 

Ground floor – Bedroom 1   A large east to west double aspect room with a sitting area offering views to the courtyard garden. Twin beds that can be joined to make a super-king bed, wardrobes, drawers, side tables with reading lamps, USB socket, sofa, and coffee table. Please advise of your bed configuration at the time of booking.

First-floor accommodation:

Bedroom 2 A bright and fresh bedroom with double aspect windows, double bed, wardrobe, drawers, bedside tables, reading lamps, USB socket, and mirror. 

Bedroom 3 Spacious double aspect bedroom with king-size bed, wardrobe, dresser and mirror, bedside tables, reading lamps, USB socket, hairdryer, and wall-mounted Smart TV. 

Bedroom 4 A lovely room with zip link twin beds that can be joined to make a super-king, wardrobes, under bed drawers, bedside tables, reading lamps, and USB socket. Please advise of your bed configuration at the time of booking

Family Bathroom a luxurious, bright, and spacious bathroom with double-ended freestanding bathtub, large walk-in rain shower, hand basin, shelves, and storage.

Outside space 

Covered secured car-port enter through secured double gates with a push-button security pad to a dry covered carport suitable for two cars, or motorbikes, perfect for drying biking equipment or storing pushbikes, kayaks, surfboards, etc.

Courtyard garden a private, enclosed, pretty courtyard, with an outside bbq area, seating, and ambient lighting which leads to a south-facing sheltered space with pretty shrubs and a grassed area for pets. 

Heating Gas central heating in the kitchen and bedrooms. The lounge has a wood burner, infrared panel heaters, and an electric fan heater. A complimentary bag of logs will be provided on arrival. 

Parking two secured spaces within the carport as well as unrestricted street parking directly outside the property.

Pets two pets welcome at £25.00 per pet per week or part thereof. Please do not allow pets upstairs, on furniture, or leave them unattended in the property. Dog basket and blankets available. Doggy welcome pack provided on arrival.
