Little Panhaven is located in the bustling fishing port of Amble at the southern end of the Heritage Coastline. Locally known as the 'Friendliest Port,' the charm of Amble is centred around the South Pier and promenade, which incorporates a sea front pathway down to the harbour. The cottage has recently been upgraded and decorated to provide excellent ground floor accommodation. The contemporary styled décor, featuring some original artwork, flows throughout. The enclosed rear yard has a nautical theme and provides a pleasant environment to relax in. Recently Amble has undergone a regeneration programme with the creation of a harbour village providing locals and tourist with 15 individual retail pods selling crafts, gifts, accessories, food and drink. There is also a seafood centre offering fish caught off the Northumberland coast. A mile off shore is Coquet Island home to a colony of 36,000 puffins. Boats take tourists on Puffin Cruises out to watch these comical seabirds and an array of other wildlife. The village of Warkworth with its imposing medieval castle dominating the skyline is a short drive beside the river Coquet. This pretty village sits in a loop of the river which almost surrounds it. Walking, fishing, sailing, cycling all available locally.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Little Panhaven with our two Border Terriers. The cottage is well planned and equipped, comfortable with quality bedlinen and furnishings. A great little base to explore the beautiful local area, the people are so friendly and accommodating. Plenty of walking along the coastal path, castles and large expanses of beach to enjoy. The main street has a variety of shops supplying everything you might need. The Harbour Fish Bar is highly recommended as is the welcome in the Schooner Inn, so dog friendly too!

We booked late for a quiet new year break, having been to amble a few times we were really pleased to be in the "perfect" area!
We were really pleased with the cottage & a lovely welcome gift, plus very tastefully decorated for Christmas.
The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The bedding is very good quality & the beds really comfortable.
Very conveniently located for both beach & town.
The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is the bathroom really needs ventilation as very wet & too cold to keep window open.
Need solid coat hooks in hall for coats, otherwise you end up bringing dripping coats into cottage to dry.
Two minor points which shouldn't put anyone off & we will definitely be back .
