Number Twenty Eight, Craster is undoubtedly a little gem a stone’s throw away from the sea. It is a semi-detached cottage, which has been completely refurbished and decorated, to an excellent standard. The contemporary styling is enhanced with original artwork of Craster and the surrounding area.
Downstairs the open plan layout creates a bright, airy ambience, the comfortable sofa and large armchair are perfect for relaxing after a coastal walk. Leading from the dining room, is the kitchen, which is very well equipped with a good range of utensils to create a culinary delight.
On the first floor are three double bedrooms, two of which have drawers and large wardrobes, with plenty of hanging space and the family bathroom.
Glimpses of the sea can be seen from most of the windows and the completely enclosed garden has a built in barbecue and wooden patio furniture to enjoy alfresco dining.
The coastal footpath between Beadnell and Alnmouth passes through the village and the splendid sandy beaches at Embleton and Howick are a pleasant 1.5 mile walk or drive away, in either direction. Although the fishing fleet has reduced over the years, Craster is still renowned worldwide for its oak smoked kippers produced in the village since the early 19th century.
